How do I make questions conditional?

There are two ways to make questions conditional:

  • Use the Ask if button to make individual questions conditional.
  • Use a Go To question type to skip large groups of questions.

Ask if

In the Question Editor for every question added after the first question, you will see a button labeled Ask if.

Click this button to set the condition under which the question is asked.  The Ask if page displays.

The Ask if page drop down list contains all of the questions in the survey.  The condition can be based on any question that has already been asked.  For more information, see Ask if Logic.

Go To

The Go To question type is found at the bottom of the Question Gallery.

This question type does not present any information to the recipient.  Instead, it jumps the recipient to another question in the same survey.  For more information, see Go To Question.
