Insert a horizontal line

There are two ways that you can insert a horizontal line into the text of a question:

  • Use the HTML code for a horizontal line, <HR>.
  • Use the horizontal line button on the Question Editor toolbar (Firefox, Chrome, and Safari only).

To use the HTML code:

  1. Double-click a question on the Edit tab to open it in the Question Editor.
     
  2. Click the Source tab for the message text field.
     
  3. Click in the message and type: <HR>
     
  4. Click the Edit tab for the message text field to view the horizontal line. 
     
    The horizontal line appears:
     


    If you placed the line in the wrong place, click the Source tab and cut and paste the HTML code where you want the horizontal line to be placed.
     
  5. Click OK when you are finished editing the question.

To use the horizontal line button on the Question Editor toolbar:

  1. Double-click a question on the Edit tab to open it in the Question Editor.
     
  2. Click the question text in the location where you want the horizontal line to appear.
     
  3. Click the horizontal line button on the toolbar.

  4. Click OK when you are finished editing the question.
