Make an option appear last

There might be some situations in which you want to randomize the answers to a question but force a single answer, such as None of the above, to always appear at the bottom of the list. You can configure Vista to always display an answer at the bottom of a list by using the tilde (~) character.

  1. Double-click the question that you want to edit on the Edit tab. For this example, we will use the Multiple Choice question type.

  2. Select Randomize answers if it is not already selected.

  3. Enter a tilde (~) character at the beginning of the answer that you want to appear at the bottom of the list.

  4. Click OK.

NOTE: There are three question types that allow you to randomize answers and use the tilde character to force an answer to appear last:

  • Multiple Choice question
  • Select Many question
  • Drop-Down Menu
