Protecting your survey from ballot stuffing

It is important to protect your results from repetitive, nuisance responses. Ballot stuffing will skew your results and render your survey useless.

To prevent ballot stuffing, do NOT chose Allow the respondent to take the survey as many times as they want and keep all results under When a respondent takes your survey a second time on the Security tab.

The best way to protect your survey is to choose one of the following under When a respondent takes your survey a second time on the Security tab:

  • Allow the respondent to take the survey again but don't save the results - Only the first response to the survey is used.

  • Allow the respondent to take the survey again and overwrite the first set of results - Only the last response to the survey is used.
