Account Manager
Vanguard Software Corporation, a
leading developer of web-based business improvement
software, is seeking a Sales and Marketing professional
who is a highly-motivated, entrepreneurial, self-starter
to join our rapidly growing sales team as a Vanguard
System Account Manager.
The successful candidate will be
responsible for following up on Vanguard-generated
customer leads. In addition, candidate will work closely
with Sales Management and Executive teams to develop,
close, and maintain national and international customer
accounts. Candidate will help to drive sales of
Vanguard's decision-support software, and accelerate our
potentially explosive growth and market positioning over
the next several years. This is a great opportunity to

Responsibilities:
- Develop leads and marketing plans for local,
national, and international markets
- Follow-up with customer and partner leads
- Work closely with Sales Management and Executive
Team
- Develop, close, and maintain accounts nationally
and internationally
- Travel might be required
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- BA/BS degree
- 2-6 years experience in business-to-business
sales
- US Citizen or Green Card holder
Required Skills and Prerequisites:
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Self-starter but team player
- Experience in business process improvement
- Experience in software sales
- Proven ability to meet and exceed a sales quota
consistently
- Desire and ability to generate leads through
effective networking and phone calls
- Ability to sell consultatively by listening to
customer's needs and shaping a shared vision for
a solution
- Goal-oriented with a strong desire to make the
company successful
- High level of energy and persistence
- Entrepreneurial spirit and a desire to work in a
